Cookie Policy
Effective date: 28 August 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage Unio actually uses — nothing more.
Essential (always on)
Unio uses Supabase for login. When you log in with your phone number, Supabase sets a session cookie so you stay logged in between visits. Without it, you'd have to verify your phone number again on every page. This is strictly necessary for the app to work and isn't a choice you can turn off — the same way any site with an account system needs a login cookie.
Analytics (only with your consent)
We use PostHog, a privacy-conscious analytics tool, to understand which parts of Unio are useful. It's off by default and only turns on if you tap "Accept" on the cookie banner, or turn it on later in Account → Cookie preferences. When it's on:
- We do not record your screen or session.
- We do not automatically capture every click — only a small number of specific, named events (like whether a login prompt was shown or dismissed).
- We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share this data with ad networks.
You can change your choice at any time in Account → Cookie preferences (once logged in) or by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
What we don't use
Unio does not use advertising cookies, third-party ad trackers, or cross-site tracking pixels. There is currently no advertising on Unio.
Other storage
A small amount of technical, non-tracking browser storage is used to make the app work smoothly — for example, remembering how many listing pages you've viewed in a session so we don't ask you to log in too aggressively. This is read and used only by Unio, in your own browser, and isn't sent anywhere as a tracking identifier.
